Sources of
Inspiration
When it comes
to getting things done, we all occasionally hit the proverbial
wall in terms of being able to finish what we started.
Sometimes the task may be relatively small such as cleaning a
kitchen or it can be a Herculean task such as launching a
business. Regardless of the actual task, we can all lag in
terms of being motivated and that is never a good thing. After
all, if all we do is put off starting our tasks we will be
essentially putting off our ability to achieve our goals. Now,
that hardly sounds like a plan for success does
it?
The
Psychological Factor
Often, the
major factors that are needed to be effective are
psychological. That is to say, there needs to be a change in a
person’s mindset so that success can be a given or at least
attempted. So, in order to facilitate this type of positive
mental outlook it is always best to seek sources of inspiration
so as to “kick start” the motivation that is needed. This, of
course, means that one should look for sources of inspiration.
Luckily, there is good news in regards to this notion as one
can pretty much draw inspiration from pretty much any
source.
Looking at
the Sources
Inspiration can
come from a variety of sources. One could look to the founding
fathers struggling through harsh winters while attempting to
win the Revolutionary War. Other sources of inspiration do not
have to come from our historical past, but rather could be
drawn from the local pharmacist who is helping to raise money
for a charitable cause. As such, inspiration can come from any
source, although it is usually critical that the source be
something that draws from your own personal likes or
admiration, as it is difficult to be inspired by something you
dislike or disagree with.
That is to say,
when it comes to inspiration one needs to look at those
individuals you admire and then ones needs to look at the
background of the person. That is, if the person worked hard,
struggled or otherwise lived an inspiring life, then it is
important to examine what those moments were where they
strived hardest against the odds and succeeded, and then
to use these instances as a means of providing the source of
inspiration. This is often a key formula for creating
motivational success!
