Self Esteem Issues: How They Can Affect a
Person
Self esteem issues are probably the major challenge of this
era. These problems can root from the diverse issues and
challenges that we face in life. There are people who suffer
from self esteem issues and attribute them to a whole category
of causes, instead of solely on the challenges of their lives.
This causes them to blame the cause of their problems to
others.
Instead of internalizing the problem, issues with self esteem
cause others to externalize. Doing so merely takes a person
away from the real problem and hinders him or her in finding
the right solution. These issues can disguise themselves as
some other more immediate visible issue causing them not to be
tackled or overcome. Unless it is triumphed upon, self esteem
issues will continuously rear their ugly heads over and over
again.
It is important to know that everyone can develop issues with
self esteem. People with evidently no self esteem issues can
also be affected at a subtle level. How people regard
themselves in the future can be caused by them not reaching
their dreams when they were still young or opting for a safer
route when they know that they are able to reach something
more. Self esteem issues later in life can manifest in short
tempers, cynicism and even illnesses.
Symptoms of Having Self Esteem Issues
There are symptoms of having self esteem issues that can help
you change the way you live your life.
When you are not spending enough time living in the present but
continuously worry about the future and regret the past, you
may be having self esteem issues. Having this problem can cause
you not to enjoy the present and allow self-discovery. There
are other people with self esteem issues that are having the
trouble of feeling like they do not deserve happiness. This
causes them to relive the past or create various scenes of
their future that may or may not happen.
Another sign of having self esteem issues is when you always
want something that you do not have or are not capable of
having. These issues can lie underneath when you have
dissatisfaction with your life and seem that what you only want
is something that is out of your reach. You should realize that
in order to get what you want in life, you must be appreciative
of what you have and what you have been given. Any issues
regarding self esteem that you have can be battled with when
you are ready to concentrate on gratitude and eventually place
yourself in the healing process.
